As a queer wedding photographer, every ceremony I attend has its own unique charm and beauty. However, Steph and Kelsey’s wedding in Lawton, Michigan, was a truly special affair that overflowed with love, laughter, and personal touches.

The Beginning

Steph and Kelsey’s journey together began in the bustling heart of downtown Kalamazoo, where they first met as servers at a farm-to-table restaurant. It was clear from the start that their connection was something extraordinary. Fast forward six years, and here they are, celebrating their love surrounded by friends, family, and their beloved cats (including the outdoor cat who found a forever home with them!).

Their love story is one of mutual support, shared laughter, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. They bond over their love of cooking and good food, their fascination with true crime mysteries, and their passion for creating a cozy home together.

Leading up to their big day, Steph and Kelsey were most excited about bringing together their nearest and dearest. For them, this wedding wasn’t just about exchanging vows; it was about celebrating with those who have supported them every step of the way—some meeting each other for the first time.
